  19. Since Usergloss did not meet in Atlanta, this was the second meeting of
  20. the Working Group.  The objectives of the Working Group remain unchanged
  21. since it's inception, the creation of a glossary of networking terms and
  22. acronyms for the Internet community.
  23.  
  24. The primary sources for the glossary are existing glossaries.  They are:
  25. Carl Malamud's online, all inclusive glossary; the glossary from FYI 4
  26. (RFC 1206); Ole Jacobson's Interop glossary; and NCAR's online glossary.
  27. Additional sources may be NASA's online glossary and the Internet Tour
  28. glossary.

  30. The introduction will include a section which describes how to get more
  31. information.  It will mention the FYI series and the Official Standards
  32. RFC.

  34. The entries will be organized in alphabetical order (case insensitive).
  35. Acronyms will be listed independently of the descriptive text.  For

  47. The document will be available in ASCII format.  In addition, it may be
  48. made available in PostScript, Hypertext or Websters formats.  Additional
  49. format availability is dependent upon User Services Working Group
  50. resources.

  52. Some index categories have been tentatively identified.  They are:
  53. applications, protocols, Internet organizations, networks (e.g.,
  54. mid-level networks), and address types (e.g., internet address).  It is
  55. possible that a glossary entry may appear in multiple categories.
